What does it cost per month?

When will it be available?
Right now! (I hope anyway!) By the time you are reading this the relay aerial site should be in place and Cogenhoe's own site should be in. If the aerial relay site has not been approved then I will be getting a leased line put in and so it may be another month. Either way it will be in before the end of the year. The service has been fully up and running in Wollaston since the beginning of May.

What bandwidth will I get?
This will depend on your physical location and distance from the base station. The equipment uses standard 802.11b equipment which requires line of sight to work, so unless you are within 200 Metres of the base station you will probably need an external aerial. We aim to provide at least 512Kb/s in either direction, but this will be burstable to 2Mb/s. The System has implemented a QoS (Quality of Service) system that will give priority to email and web traffic, so even if there are a lot of users downloading and or uploading files you will still be able to send and receive emails and browse the web.

What other services do I get?
Each subscriber is entitled to a free 0845 dialup account as a backup. We also provide technical support relating to the network via email or telephone Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

Can I get this service for my company?
Yes, the service is aimed at local residential properties as well as businesses - please contact us for details of the commercial services.
